Barrie served two terms on the STC Intercom Editorial Advisory Panel and is the proud recipient of the Distinguished Chapter Service Award (DCSA) from the STC Philadelphia Metro Chapter. The DCSA is the highest level of recognition that a member can receive for service to their community.

With more than 18 years of Toastmasters experience, Barrie is Past President of Princeton Toastmasters and past Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the 4,000 member Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey Toastmasters Distinguished District 38. In 2012, Barrie earned the rank of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), Toastmasters International’s highest distinction in recognition of communication and leadership.

  1. As a former technical writer and Toastmaster, this is very interesting to me. It’s fascinating to transfer some techniques from written docs to the presentation stage.
