And the winners are… creative and effective decision-making

Effective PostIt note votes

Effective voting with PostIt notes

Our STC Philadelphia Metro Chapter participated in the end-of-summer pot-luck cookout that was jointly sponsored with PhillyCHI, Delaware Valley UxPA, and the UX Book Club of Philadelphia.
I enjoyed our picnic for several reasons… meeting and chatting with area professionals, beautiful weather, fun games, and delicious food. When the contests for best side dish and best dessert were announced, my first thought was “oh! I wish I would have known we’d have a contest. I would have worked on my presentation.”
My second thought was “I wonder how the voting will work?”
With user experience professionals in charge, the contest voting was simple and effective. Each potluck guest received two PostIt notes, and then we just placed the PostIt note on the item to cast our vote.
In addition to instant fame, winners earned a $50 gift card. Pictured here is Dave’s winning corn pudding.
